DO OR DIE AS ARCH RIVALS WANANYUKI , OMAX CROSS SWORDSAll roads lead to Mombasa Technical Training Institute (MTTI) Bomani as perennial rivals Wananyuki cross swords with Omax in what is expected to be a mouthwatering Mvita derby set for this Saturday November 16’th, 2019.The sumptuous derby kicks off at 3:00pm and has all the trappings of a thriller. With the good form of both clubs heading into the FKF National Division Two Northern Zone Pool A clash the stakes are very high. At stake is the three vital points and bragging rights that come with it hence each side will apply every trick in the book to emerge victorious. Through the drama and adrenaline will be high on the stands and pitch it is the two head coaches, Twahhir Yusuf of Wananyuki and Ismail ‘Bokassa; Abdalla of Omax who will be under scrutiny. Then match will be special, for both coaches. TheTwahir coached side came under intense scrutiny in the wake of last weekends inconsist results. They lost 2-4 away against Voi based Ndovu FC before recovering to spank Tikki from Taveta 5-0 last weekend. Leading 2-1 away at break against Ndovu FC the Mwembe Kuku Street club finally succumbed to a humiliating 2- 4 defeat that exposed loss of concentration. It be would be suicidal to repeat the same errors against a resilient Omax who collected a total of four points during their tour of Taita Taveta last weekend. Wananyuki badly need the three vital points that will see them leapfrog Young Bulls at the top of the table. Wananyuki are placed on the second spot of the 23 team log with a total of 13 points from 6 matches and one point below pace setters Young Bulls. The Mwembe Kuku Street club have a heavy investment on the strikers Benard Safari and Bilal Ian Mukholi whose telepathic combination could spell doom for Omax. Omax are placed 15’th position with 6 points from 4 matches. The club is in the upbeat mood and enjoying a fine run that saw them hold Ndovu to a barren draw and beat Tikki 3-0 away in Taveta. Omax will be without their dependable striker Antony Obare who was given his marching orders during the previous game against Ndovu foir violent conduct. Obare’s absence will be a blow to Bokassa’s game plan as he will be faced with a challenge of to finding a suitable replacement.
