Fake Guns: Kenya Navy Survive Scare

Kenya Navy FC survived anxious moments before they shared 3-3 spoils with Tsavo Wild Beast FC in a thrilling Match Day 8  FKF South Coast Branch League Pool E weekend clash staged at Kambini Sisal ground, Voi in Taita Taveta County. While they went to the clash as favourites what came out of the game especially in the second half was against the expectations. A bullish first half saw  Bonface Bonaya spill the beans when he  sent the alarm bells for Kenya Navy  in the 12’th min. Wild Beast hauled themselves off the canvass and restored parity in the 23’th min through Newtone Mwandawiro. One minute  later Masoud Choka restored lead for the soldiers. Rashid Mwalimo leveled for Wild Beast for a 2-2 score line at breather. The first quarter of the second half would however see Kenya Navy seriously quizzed by their visitors and their answers were all wrong. Right at restart Wild Beast raced in and Jinstone Mjomba was the prosecutor –in-chief when he brought the hosts into contentions with a clinical volley. At 3-2 the Kenya Navy even threatened and it only took one moment of magic from former Kilifi All Stars FC striker Allan Matano who provided a death warrant to equalize and salvage a point for the visitors. With the results Kenya Navy have completed the first leg unbeaten. The soldiers are placed at the summit of the 7 team Pool E log with 16 points from 6matches. They have won 5 matches and drawn one single match. Meanwhile in the Pool B match played at Mwabungo Biga in Kwale County hosts Chicago smacked Shimo Prison 3-1 to consolidate their position at the top of the table. Ali Juma broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 22’nd min before Charles Otieno leveled the score on the stroke of half time. Hatibu Sinyieno extended lead for the victors in the 68\th min as Abdullahi Badi provided the last straw in the injury time. Elsewhere at Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) ground hosts TUM Dynamos FC continued with their winning ways after they whipped Mwatatae All Stars from Mwatate 3-0. After a barren first half George Kariuki shot TUM into lead in the 69’th min . Wesley Omondi and Matano Muthama struck in the 83’rd and 87’th min respectively to secure maximum points for the hosts.
