Maji Bombers Mourns Tragic Loss For Beach Bay Defeat

Maji Bombers FC  have revealed that the loss of midfielder Maxwell Saro was a factor in the stunning 0-3 defeat to Beach Bay FC, the biggest home defeat in club history. The 22 years old Midfielder collapsed during the KDF recruitment exercise held last week at Alaskan ground in Malindi after which KDF medics offered him first aid and he regained his consciousness. However he developed complications later while at home on the same night and he was taken to the nearby Star Hospital in Malindi where he passed away. Teammate Nickson Luganje confirmed the loss adversely affected the team’s performance ‘’ The loss of our colleague affected our performance. The morale in the team was low and we had no adequate preparations ahead of the match as we tried to come to terms with the tragedy’’ said Luganje. During the match Maji Bombers conceded all the goals in the first quarter an hour to make Beach Bay move to the podium of the 19 team FKF National Division Two Northern Zone League Pool A. The deceased will be laid to rest this Saturday February 21’st 2021 at Mkondoni Village, Lango Baya located on outskirts of Malindi. Football Kenya Federation wish to send  its heartfelt condolences and to the family members and friends and football family of the deceased.
