Shanzu Lament Players Exodus

Shanzu United FC coach James ‘’Ochi’’ Sewe has bemoaned the absence of key players as the FKF National Division Two Northern Zone League Pool A commenced last weekend. Shanzu United FC suffered a  shock 0-1 home loss to Progressive FC  from Magarini  and coach Ochi says the departure of several key players affected the team’s performance The club lost out midfielder Joseph Otieno and full back Sammy Mwendwa to the exodus bandwagon. The duo have joined the top tier Kenya Premier League side Bandari. Meanwhile Libero Mahmoud Buki has crossed over to the second tier National Super League side Coast Stima while dependable striker Alex Kazungu has signed third tier Young Bulls from Malindi. Others are striker Meshack Gumbao and defender Gandi Charo who moved to the FKF Division Two Northern League Pool A counterparts Bahari FC from Mtwapa while striker Ibrahim Mdogo was acquired by Coast Regional League side Red Bulls from Kilifi. ‘’ That is a problem for my team. Many good players left and we will need experienced players but there is no player who is bigger that the team’’ However the coach believes he still has a good team consisting of  young and upcoming players provided they remain focused. Shanzu United travel to Kilifi to face Kilifi All Stars next Sunday 14’th February at MTG Kilifi ground and Ochi believes his charges will give their opponents a run for their money.
