Super-sub Sedrick grabs a superb hat-trick as Marines Capture Beach Bay

Green Marine FC from Ukunda came back from a goal down to beat visiting Beach Bay FC from Malindi 4-1 thanks to obviously, inevitably, magnificently to Sedrick Asman who helped himself to a hat-trick, settling the tie more or less on his own. The FKF Division Two Northern Zone League Pool A weekend match was played at Shamu ground in Kwale. The visitors started the game quickly, pressuring Green Marine in possession and  breaking the deadlock in the 40’th min through Erick Thoya, a score line that lasted to breather. The drama started as Sedrick Asman entered the fray when he was introduced in the 65’th min as a replacement for Issa Bakari and he made an immediate impact grabbing the equalizer in the 65’th min. Sedrick continued throwing kitchen sink at Beach Bay and the pressure earned him a second goal in the 80’th min before adding the third goal five minutes later. Shee Dele sealed victory in the injury time to enable the hosts collect maximum points. With the win Green Marine have 5 points from 3 matches. The Godwill Omolo coached side travel to Mombasa next Sunday to play Kishada at Joho Girls Utange ground. Meanwhile  Antony’’Hajuu’’ Collins rediscovered his form when he grabbed a brace for Mariakani FC  in the 3-1 away win against Bahari FC in the other Pool A match played at Mtwapa primary. Joseph Zidini opened the scoring account for the Mariakani side in the 13’th min. The hosts restored parity through Johnson Kitsao five minutes to break. Antony Hajuu Collins doubled lead in the 76’th min before he  sealed victory three minutes later. The match was graced by the Kilifi County Assembly speaker Hon. Jimmy Kahindi who serves as the patron for Mariakani FC. Elsewhere Charles Mshenga spectacular corner in the stoppage time earned Kilfi All Stars  a well deserved 2-1 away win over Ziwani Youth in the match played at Tudor primary. Wilson Kashimo send Kilfi All Stars   up  at half an hours mark before Yusuf Kamanza drew the equalizer for the hosts three minutes to hal time. The match was destined for a draw until the dying minutes when Charles Mshenga curled a superb corner kick into the net which caught the goalkeeper napping. At MTTI Bomani ground goals by Heshima Said and Benard Safari enabled Wananyuki to see off Yanga 2-0 as Omax battled to a barren stalemate against Kishada at Tudor primary.
