Wananyuki ‘has God on their team’

Wananyuki FC Team Manager Twahir Omar Mohammed has revealed that his team will have 12 players on the pitch when they clash with Samburu Lions FC in the pressure cooker FKF National Division Two Northern Zone Pool A match scheduled for this Saturday at Samburu Kasarani ground. The deeply religious Manager says the Almighty God  control’s his team’s style of play and believes his side with bag maximum points with divine intervention. In what seemed like a sermon Twahir spoke in length about the his belief in guiding his team to victory ‘’ Wananyuki has God on their side and the players are aware of this. In the name of Allah we shall triumph. The spirit in the team is very high’’ The match  relieves the memories of  the infamous semi finals clash in the FKF South Coast Branch mini league at in 2019 in which Wananyuki accused Samburu Lions their  of using juju, a claim that was denied by their opponents. Wananyuki have described Samburu Lions as unpredictable. Wananyuki lost 0-1 away to Samburu Lions last season but Twahir is confident they will turn tables on their opponents. The Mwembe Kuku Street club opened their campaign this season with a 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund of Takaungu  last weekend A team full of flair, pace and creativity Wananyuki will be buoyed by the return of their lethal striker Heshima Said and defender Simba Odula who has recovered from elbow and ankle injury respectively after missing last weekends match. Top striker Reagan Otieno has also make a come back after a four year stint stint with unknown FKF Division One side upcountry.
